- Wild ale fermented with red grapes: Kékfrankos, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon
Druif 2020 is a new approach to creating this classic beer. The production of 2020 began with a blend of 2-year-old beers, referred to with Kékfrankos grapes and aged in a foeder. Before bottling, the base was mixed with spontaneously fermented wine on Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, which were produced in 2018 and then aged in burgundy barrels. Druif 2020 has notes of elderberry, blackberry and light strawberries, a bit of cream oak and earth. In terms of taste, it has a really balanced acidity, similar to wine, the right fruitiness and lots of spices with a hint of funk.
