Perry, a fermented wine drink made from pears, is, like cider, made using traditional methods known for generations. Freshly pressed pear juice without added water, sweeteners or carbon dioxide is used.
This perry is produced by slow fermentation lasting about 3 months at low temperature. After bottling, it undergoes a refermentation process and matures for another 4 months. It is not pasteurized or filtered.
Perry can be served as an aperitif and goes well with poultry, especially goose or duck.
