Browar Lwówek is the oldest brewery in Poland, the records of which date back to 1209, when Henryk Brodaty granted Lwówek Śląski with city rights, along with the privilege of producing beer, creating a local beer monopoly in the region at that time. The beer produced by the Browar Lwówek is made using traditional brewing methods and recipes, with open vats.
