- Still sweet cider made of freshly pressed and frozen pear juice (i.e. perry), completely natural and without water added.
Lodowa Gruszka is an exceptional and unique liqueur alcoholic drink. Its uniqueness can be proved by the fact that it is produced in only a few places in the world. Its distinctive feature is its naturally intense sweetness, richness and concentration of aromas and flavors, as well as the lack of sparkling commonly associated with ciders.
Lodowa Gruszka is the equivalent of Iced Chyliczki Cider, with the difference that it is made - which will not be surprising - from pears, not apples. Only freshly pressed and then frozen pear juice was used to produce this surprising liqueur. The production took place without the addition of water, sweeteners or carbon dioxide.
Cider is produced by the method of very slow fermentation, lasting up to 18 months, from frozen pear juice. After bottling and closing with a natural cork, the cider matures for another 3 months. Lodowa Gruszka is not pasteurized.
Cider Lodowa Gruszka has received a number of awards, including silver medals awarded for two consecutive years (2018 and 2019) in the Royal Bath & West International Cider 2018 competition (Somerset, England) and in 2018 during Enoexpo in Krakow.
Lodowa Gruszka can be served as an aperitif (it tastes great on ice cubes), as well as in the company of spicy cheeses that will emphasize its flavor. It also goes well with most desserts. Suggested serving temperature: 5°C.
Lodowa Gruszka can be stored for many years, even up to several years.
