The new vintage Druif beer from Tommie Sjef is a wild beer made from organic Hungarian red wine grapes, harvested in 2021 from the Mátra region, composed exclusively of Kékfrankos grapes, which goes perfectly with Tommie's wild beers. The base is a mixture of wild beers aged in wooden barrels for about 2 years, which allowed for longer maceration with the grapes used, and with it, continuous development and construction of the multi-layered nature of the beer. The 2022 vintage focuses on more pronounced bitterness, tannins and subtle hop fruitiness. The aroma includes notes of strawberry, peach and cherry, which will turn into almond and oak notes in further stages of tasting. The taste is definitely dominated by Kékfrankos and its cherry and blackberry notes. It is accompanied by delicate acidity and a firm, dry finish.
